Aggressive Granulomatous Lesion after the Cemented THRA

Abstract

|
recently a number of patients have been reported with localized aggressive resorption of bone around the cemented femoral component of a total hip replacement.
In the first report, Harris reported four cases such patients with tumor-like bone resorption after total uip replacement arthroplasty, and described this condition as a benign, non-inflammatory, adverse tissue reaction.
The authors report one case of aggressive granulomatous lision in 13 year old cemented total hip replacement arthroplasty.
